Francis A. La Rosa, M.D., Ph.D. is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in glaucoma, cataract and implant surgery, and complicated anterior segment disease. Dr. La Rosa completed his fellowship in glaucoma at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA in Los Angeles. He received his Doctorate of Medicine and Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Boston University School of Medicine. This was followed by an internship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a Residency at the Cullen Eye Institute. A native of California, Dr. La Rosa completed his undergraduate studies at the Occidental College in Los Angeles. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an active member of the American Glaucoma Society.
