The Camera Club of Richmond was founded in 1932 with a vision to promote excellence in photography; inspiring our members to reveal the world around us, preserve memories, and create works of art. CCR’s Mission is to empower our members to learn and grow their photographic craft through education, activities, exhibits, critiques, mentoring, and competitions.
All levels of experience and anyone interested in photography are welcome to join us!
CCR’s Monthly Meetings provide multiple learning opportunities including:
• Unique programs and seminars presented by well-respected artists/experts covering a wide variety of topics,
• Professional Image Evaluations of member-submitted images, and
• Networking and mentoring opportunities.
In addition, CCR provides its members:
• Educational seminars (both in-person and virtual) to learn more about the art and mechanics of photography,
• Hands-on activities offering the opportunity to practice photography skills with other shooters and gain valuable mentoring and feedback,
• Opportunities to display their work throughout the Richmond area,
• An End-of-Year Competition judged by well-respected, seasoned photographers,
• An Awards Banquet to recognize CCR’s best work of the year.
CCR meetings take place on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at:
Unity of Bon Air, 923 Buford Road, Richmond, VA.
We also livestream and record those meetings for those who are unable to attend in person. Doors open at 6:00p.m. (Zoom at 6:30) for socializing and networking. At 7p.m., we have a short business meeting and share club announcements, followed immediately by the Presentation or Image Evaluation for that month.
