Karen Roodman is a true creative and intentional artist. Her background in dance, Pilates, and education in both the arts and sciences has influenced her expressive work. A native to the Midwest but RVA resident for over 30 years, she is an active painter at both Crossroads Art Center and the VMFA Art School. She loves using nature, cities, and figures in her unique pieces. Her use of shapes, perspective, color relationships, and overall expressiveness are an extension of her personality and intentionality as an artist.
