Dr. Jacob Mascaro is a comprehensive ophthalmologist dedicated to helping patients achieve lifelong, healthy vision. A Pennsylvania native, he discovered his passion through volunteer community vision screenings. He graduated summacum laude in Biomedical Engineering from Penn State and earned his MD at West Virginia University, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
At Virginia Commonwealth University, he served as Chief Resident and developed strong skills in medical and surgical ophthalmology, including cataract surgery and advanced glaucoma procedures. His attention to detail and research on improving outcomes in ocular trauma earned him VCU Resident Researcher of the Year.
Known for a warm bedside manner and clear, compassionate communication, Dr.Mascaro partners with patients to understand goals and explain every option.
