Dr. Meghan Showalter is a native of Virginia and currently resides in Prince George. She received her Doctorate in Audiology from West Virginia University and Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Longwood University. Dr. Showalter is licensed as an audiologist and hearing aid specialist in the state of Virginia. She also holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Showalter has experience with audiological and vestibular testing as well as cochlear implants, hearing aids, bone conduction devices, custom hearing protection and pediatrics.
Outside of work, Dr. Showalter enjoys reading, singing, attending college football games and spending time with her family and dog, Jamie.

Dr. West was wonderful with my Mother who couldn’t hear anything out of her right ear upon our arrival. Dr. West was thorough and explained everything in detail prior to the examination. After utilizing the Earigation machine and removing the wax buildup, my Mother felt relief and could hear again. Dr. West patiently explained after my Mother’s hearing test that she would benefit with a hearing device and provided us with literature. I was impressed because the device was recommended and not pressured to purchase. Thank you, Dr. West!
My experience with Dr. West and the Hearing Center was very positive. Dr. West asked questions of me regarding my hearing and then explained the testing procedure. When the testing was complete Dr. West provided me with charts showing the levels of my hearing loss in both ears. We then talked about how hearing devices could improve my hearing. I have since picked up my new devices and love them. I can now hear what I’ve been missing.
Dr. West is amazing! She took her time to explain the process of the hearing test and the test results. She was also very gentle when “earigating” my ears. It felt like I went to an ear spa! 10/10 highly recommend her services!
Dr. West was great! Very thorough and personable. Even though my hearing test was normal, she listened to my symptoms and recommended other providers for further assessment if I decided to go that route. Front desk staff was also very friendly and welcoming. Much appreciated!
Dr. West was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in getting my hearing aid repaired. I have transferred my care to the Heating Center. They did a great job!
