Dr. Jessica Vickery brings to our practice some welcomed southern charm. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biology from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. She was also awarded both the Department of Biology Student of the Year and the College of Arts and Sciences Student of the Year Awards. Her optometric education was completed at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN where she graduated with honors.
Dr. Vickery is very passionate about helping her patients to become successful contact lens wearers. She completed a contact lens residency with a concentration in corneal diseases and earned the Bernard Blaustein Resident of the Year Award. She was also awarded Clinical Excellence in the field of Gas Permeable Contact Lenses. Her experience includes extensive training in fitting scleral, RGP, and hybrid contact lenses. She also has clinical experience managing keratoconus, corneal degenerations, and dystrophies including Fuch’s endothelial dystrophy, corneal ulcers, and corneal scars.
Dr. Vickery is dedicated to treating patients with dry eye disease of varying complexities including Sjogren’s syndrome. She is excited to bring varying therapies to the Richmond population.
When Dr. Vickery is not taking care of patients, she loves being outdoors and is open to any suggestions to explore our area!
